Largest low-energy building in Germany completed
The HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft, with a housing stock of 48,500 units, one of the largest municipal housing corporations of Berlin, has converted the twin high-rise tenement building at Schulze-Boysen-Strasse 35/37 into a low-energy building within the scope of a complete refurbishment in the Berlin borough of Lichtenberg. From March 2006 to January 2007, the largest low-energy building in Germany was fitted out within the framework of the national Low-energy Building model project within the stock of the German Energy Agency.

The HOWOGE has won the coveted Berlin environmental "Climate Protection Partner" 2007 Award for this project.
