Ventilation

Due to the fact that the low-energy standard of a building requires that the envelope of the building is airtight, a controlled ventilation of the flats was planned. The facts: large amounts of energy are lost through the escape of heated air upon airing. In order to prevent this from happening, a highly efficient rotational heat exchanger is fitted into the new central air feed and exhaust system for heat recovery.

The spent exhaust air is sucked out of the bathroom and kitchen areas. The largest part of the heat energy is drained in the highly efficient, central heat recovery plant and is used to heat up the fresh air. This pre-heated fresh air is then introduced into all living quarters and is thus made available to the building once more. This also guarantees that the hygienically necessary air exchange rate of 1.5 h-1 is observed. A manual airing by the tenant is really not necessary anymore, but possible.
